Hi, welcome to Michael Kritzer’s Simple Artifact, an invention and craft shop specializing in creating quintessential and desirable artifacts for today and tomorrow.
Based in Miami, FL. Simple Artifact offers services in Industrial and Graphic Design, with focuses on strategy, product design, company identity / branding, art direction, and print & digital media. The shop also has connections to a wide range of engineering solutions if and when it is needed.
Simple Artifact is founded on the belief that great product excels when experientially relevant, provocative ideas are paired to an essential, modest form that resonates in a simple sketch or narrative. When the right balance is made, products advertise themselves and are joyful and inherently talk worthy.
Michael Kritzer
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Michael Kritzer is a product and interaction designer who seeks to make life better by crafting modest yet desirable and meaningful interactions in everyday experiences.
Since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2004, Michael has worked with the design consultancy One & Co. in San Francisco and the advertising/creative think tank Crispin Porter + Bogusky, in Boulder CO. He has produced works for Microsoft, VW, Dell, HTC, Burger King, Domino’s, B-cycle, and Twist, that have been published in Wired, Ad Age, Gizmodo, Engadget, Core77, Bon Appetit, Gizmag, and the Wine Spectator.
Michael now lives in Miami Florida, where he founded and leads Simple Artifact and Habitco.
