palletini

The Palletini martini glass, inspired by Bombay Sapphire, was designed to idealize the visceral connection between a Bombay Sapphire Martini and an artist’s painting.  Both a martini and a painting begin life by being made from the finest of materials, then blended, displayed and finally experienced.  In the case of creating a quality martini, one must begin by using Bombay Sapphire Gin as their paint, the martini glass as their palette and finally the consumer as their canvas for their work.

The Palletini Martini glass consists of a 6.875 in. x .1875 in. x 4 in. rectangle with the iconic martini cone drilled into one end. The Cone ‘kisses’ the edges of the rectangle, creating three flat, crisp exit points, which in turn, allows the Bombay Sapphire Gin to be experienced correctly. The Bottom of the rectangle has also been painted with a metallic mother-of-pearl finish, which helps echo home the artist pallet connection while creating another point of intrigue for onlookers.  The Palletini’s cone is not painted with the mother-of-pearl finish, so that experiencing the supremely clear Bombay Sapphire gin can continue undeterred.

Now, the user holds the Palletini like he or she would hold an artist’s palette in their right hand. To stabilize the glass, all the user has to do is simply slip their thumb through the opening in the Palletini’s rectilinear form and balance the glass with their thumb and forefinger.  When the glass is placed on the table, the cone props up the rear of the glass creating a playful and engaging stance.  If one would wish to stir their martini or grab an olive, the user only has to use the optional Palletini crystal brush.
